Amongst #legsit and Brexit and the other awful things going on in the world right now that make you want to crawl under a duvet and never leave, sometimes everyone on social media does something lovely. In the aftermath of the horrendous attack on Westminster last month, social media was ablaze – some of it true, some if it false – but as the scale of the incident became clear, good old Twitter-ers responded with a great mix of hope, resilience and humour. The Pool provided one of the best round-ups showing Twitter paying their respects to the true heroes of the day, offering their condolences to those killed and injured and praised the bravery of the emergency services as #prayforlondon and #WeAreNotAfraid became top trends on Twitter.
