Siren Communications Staffs Up As Expansion Continues
Siren Communications, the travel, leisure and lifestyle consultancy founded by Rachel O’Connor in 2005, has increased its senior and support teams as it accelerates its recent expansion. Siren’s clients include Celebrity Cruises, Motability Operations, hospitality industry technology provider Guestline, the Curtain Hotel and White Line Hotels. In 2017 it merged with Essence Communications, extending and broadening the team’s expertise and skill set to incorporate food and drink, restaurant, event and lifestyle PR and marcomms capabilities. Phil Bloomfield has joined as Director – Strategy & Client Services, reporting in to both O’Connor (Founder and CEO), and Managing Director, Sarah Rathbone. Bloomfield, who was head of Corporate and Internal Communications at Virgin Holidays for nearly six years, and, latterly, Global Head of Communications at flight metasearch platform Cheapflights, will provide strategic input across Siren’s existing client portfolio, and focus on business development and operational efficiency. He commented: “After a number of years inhouse, I am excited to be returning to the pace, variety and creativity of agency life. Siren has a great pedigree and I am looking forward to contributing to its future growth.’ The appointment of Bloomfield to Siren’s leadership team is complemented by the addition of three consultants to its client support teams (Gill Jones, Carla Zambujo and Anita Lo). O’Connor added: “We’re very pleased to welcome Phil, and all of our recent appointments, as additions to our already strong team. Blending together the Siren and Essence portfolios expanded our capabilities, and, with these new team members, has given us some real momentum. It’s very exciting to see that being leveraged for our existing clients, and to be able to take the new proposition to prospects.” -ENDS- About Siren Communications: Siren Communications is a travel, leisure and lifestyle communications agency located in Somerset House, London.
