Thames Clippers - return to business post-COVID impact
the brief_
Siren Comms was tasked with announcing that the Thames Clippers River Bus service was resuming service after suspending for almost two months due to COVID-19. The business had implemented new safety measures, including social distancing, contactless journeys and an enhanced cleaning regime – getting the reassurance message across that the River Bus was a safe way to travel through the capital for those who were commuting, was imperative.
the approach_
After carefully crafting the story, Siren pitched the reopening across key national, London and transport media titles – including broadcast interview pitching for the CEO and front-line crew and selling in the story more broadly with video and images from a dedicated shoot to demonstrate the new measures in place.
the result_
Siren’s team secured media coverage across broadcast, international, national and regional London media, including interviews with the business’s CEO arranged with ITV London News, Reuters and Associated Press.
