Free Masketeers
the brief_
We supported Free Masketeers with their new campaign allowing UK businesses to give back and provide masks to those most in need.
The initiative makes use of the leftover fabric from London hotel uniforms and NHS approved scrubs whilst supporting charities across the UK. For every 50 masks ordered, 10 masks are donated to charities who need them the most.
Siren Comms' reach assisted creators, Lyndsay and Lynn in increasing their awareness and pushing sales nationally during the UK Covid-19 lockdown.
the approach_
Researching the changing media focus and public interest during the peak of COVID-19 in the UK, together with the practical need for masks and consumer's desire to ‘give back’ at this time.
Siren Comms delivered a full press office service distributing releases and images to key consumer and trade titles, and secured many profiling slots while also encouraging businesses to purchase the masks for themselves in preparation for re-opening.
the result_
Siren Comms delivered national coverage in key trade and consumer titles across print, online and broadcast including the Evening Standard and Marie Claire. In just one month, Free Masketeers exceeded their goal of delivering 10,000 masks to charities across the UK.
