Raising Ecocoast's Profile In The European Market
Ecocoast, a UAE based company and a global leader in engineered products for the protection of coastlines and waterways, acquired Bolina headquartered in the UK in 2020. Bolina, the European leader in marine safety, security and environment booms for inland waterways, dams and critical infrastructure, was a well-established brand in Europe unlike Ecocoast. Siren’s focus was to raise Ecocoast’s profile in the European market; UK, Netherlands, Belgium, France and Spain, to build awareness of its expertise and unmatched range of products and services including the entire Bolina safety, security, environment boom range, Ecobarrier silt curtains, oil & containment booms and navigation buoys. A three-month project was initially agreed by Ecocoast.
The team at Siren set out to carefully place expert comment pieces and news announcements with specific relevant media in the UK and European markets. Experts from across the business were interviewed by Siren to craft insightful thought leadership pieces, product specific content and business updates. The content, covering several topics was pitched into specialised media to reach different audiences, including the client’s media ‘wish list’; DredgeWire and Maritime Journal.

After a successful three-month project with Ecocoast; achieving quality content and coverage, they extended the contract with Siren Comms for the whole of 2021. We put a strategic long-term plan together mapping out opportunities for Ecocoast and ideas for comment pieces and content that will build on the success already achieved. Six months after first starting on the account, Siren obtained coverage in all major titles requested by client; DredgeWire and Maritime Journal, interviews were placed in long lead B2B titles including Project, International Water Power & Dam Construction Magazine, and PM Network – the Project Management Institute’s membership magazine. We're excited to leverage Ecocoast's success over the rest of the year.
