the brief_

The Global Travel Group asked us to support its annual conference – a lynchpin event in the consortium’s calendar – to drive media attendance and deliver blanket coverage across the travel trade press before, during and after the event. 


As well as telling the franchise event story via the UK media, goals for Siren included positioning The Global Travel Group as a prime competitor in its sector, to raise its profile for new franchisees and keep current members engaged and driven. 

the approach_

As the event is annual, we knew we’d need to find a variety of new hooks and messages to pique press interest. Working in partnership with The Global Travel Group, we created relevant presentation platforms for key panel moderators to ensure our carefully chosen mix of trade journalists all got exclusives. 


While the event played out, we executed a wraparound press-office service function – briefing staff, preparing speech pointers and company updates, and managing media interviews and photo ops.

the result_

Not only was the event highly successful, professionally delivered and inspiring, it was also well attended by key UK travel trade media. As a result, Siren Comms secured blanket coverage from influential opinion-formers and in all relevant industry titles, spanning platforms including print, online and social. 


The Global Travel Group has retained Siren Comms once again to deliver its 2018 conference in Orlando, Florida.
